Jesus said, Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe In God, believe
also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so 1
would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And If I go and prepare
a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself, that where
I am there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know; and the way ye know.
Thomas salth unto Him, Lord, we know not whither Thou goest; and how can
we know the way? Jesus salth unto Him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.
SIGNS OF HIS COMING
As Jesus sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him saying,
"Tell us, what shall be the sign of Thy coming, and of the end of the world?"
And Jesus answered and said unto them, "Take heed that no man deceive
you. Ye shall hear of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things
must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and
there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All
these are the beginning of sorrows.
Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye
shall be hated of all nations for My name's sake. And then shall many be
offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many
false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall
abound the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the
end, the same shall be saved.
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a
witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Then shall be great
tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no,
nor ever shall be.
GREAT SIGNS AND WONDERS
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall
all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in
the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He shall send His angels
with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from
the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven,
but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of
the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were
eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah
entered into the ark. And knew not until the flood came and took them all
away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other
left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord cloth come.
Therefore be ye also ready: for In such art hour as ye think not the Son of man
cometh.
While the disciples beheld, Jesus was taken up; and a cloud received Him
out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven, as He
went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; which also said,
Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus,
which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye
have seen Him go into heaven.
THE DEAD SHALL BE RAISED
I would not have you to be ignorant concerning them which are asleep,
that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For If we believe
that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will
God bring with Him.
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are
alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which
are asleep. For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the yoke of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in
Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up
together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall
we ever be with the Lord.
Behold, I chew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be
changed. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the
trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall
be changed. Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our
Lord Jesus Christ.
